Cruise Highlights: MSC SeaShore

We just got off our 3rd MSC Cruise and they just keep getting better and better. I’m going to give you an overview of the highlights of our trip.

I’ve done 19 cruises and MSC has the most beautiful ships in my opinion. They’re modern, clean and make great use of the space. I’ve never felt overly crowded on one of their ships even when they’re full.

We opted for a balcony room in the Fantastica category. The room is nice but smaller than most on other lines. There is a ton of different storage options but it was hard to get around the room with 3 of us. We did like our location on deck 12 midship and never had any issues with noise.

Moving on to food and dining: One of things I love about their buffet is there’s minimal lines because they have so any stations open at any given time. The selection is vast as well. Breakfast is my favorite but you can’t go wrong with a late night slice of pizza either.

This is the second time we’ve gone with the Easy drink package. It’s a small selection but it allows you to get unlimited drinks and it met our needs. We did have to include our daughter in the package for an additional $60 which she barely used. It was also really unclear which drinks we could order until we found this drink menu. It was really nice though to be able to use it off ship at Ocean Cay as well. The worst part of that particular package is the only beer included is Heineken but that didn’t bother hubs.

One of our favorite things about MSC is their long kids’ club hours. They’re open almost all of the time and they even take the kids to their own special dining area for dinner. This was perfect for our 9 year old as she was able to check herself in and out as she pleased. She spent a lot of time in the kids club.

She also enjoyed all the outdoor water spaces. There are several slides. One is even a double tube slide so you can ride together with someone. It was my favorite.

We had two stops on our 4 night cruise. Ocean Cay and Nassau. It was our first time to their private island Ocean Cay and we cannot wait to go back. The water is clear and turquoise and stunning. We didn’t get the memo that there are carts to take you around the island so we did waste a lot of time walking. The Bimini Beach side was our favorite. The lunch buffet left a lot to be desired but the food truck snacks were pretty good. We also enjoying shopping in the few stores on site that had handmade Bahamian souvenirs.

MSC has some pretty fun theme parties. The most popular is the white party. We also enjoyed their snow party on the pool deck. My only complaint with their parties is that they don’t start until 10:30pm. Half of our group headed to bed.

We rarely attend the Broadway style shows on the cruise ships but we did enjoy the comedian and live music at the various venues on the ship.

There’s a couple of features on the SeaShore just for the thrill seekers. One of the water slides extends out over the ship. It seems scary but it actually moves really slow. Another unique feature you will find is called the Bridge of Sighs. It’s a glass floor bridge located on deck 16 overlooking the infinity pool below. It’s pretty intense especially at night. We haven’t tried it out but they also have an F1 race car simulator located in the arcade room. It’s available at an additional charge.

You can’t beat the value with an MSC cruise which is why I know we will continue to sail with them. This is your reminder to buy the shoes, eat the cake and take the trip. Be sure to subscribe to my channel for future travel reviews and tips. I would love to book your next adventure for you!
